Pugh Moak PC had its start when Edgar W. Pugh Sr., as one of the first Internal Revenue Agents to leave the IRS, formed the firm as a tax oriented, appellate related firm. Now, 77 years later, many of the original clients remain with the family oriented firm. Albert E. Moehlman joined the firm 51 years ago after leaving the IRS as an auditor. Mr. Pugh’s son, Edgar W. Pugh, Jr. joined the firm after working in the real-estate division of an international oil company and the trust division of a major regional bank. The firm and Mr. Pugh enjoy an AV rating from Martindale-Hubble, the leading attorney rating firm. In 1998, the firm was very pleased to add the litigating and estate planning experience of Mr. Pugh, Jr’s daughter, Diana P. Moak who previously worked as an attorney with the firm of Greenbaum and Greenbaum for several years. The firm now specializes in estate planning, closely held corporations, tax planning, probate, trust law, corporate law, and real estate.
